Comments: | Lane Hemming, Madison High School Principal: "I remember him as a kids teacher. He cared and gave much that we might like the learning process. I remember the times that he asks much in the way of hard work, but also the play times and the playground. We loved to have him play with us. I remember him as one of the best of the best. In today's terms I would call him a master teacher, Mr. Pedersen thanks for being there as a young man trying to grow up.
Bruce L. Sutherland, City of Rexburg Mayor: "I want you to know that I believe there isn't anyone in Rexburg that is more deserving. As I am sure you can remember, I was a student of yours back in 1962. You were the principal of the Washington school and a 6th grade teacher. I clearly remember so many things that you did to make me feel good about myself. You seemed to know what each kid needed and treated every young person in your class individually. I have had the opportunity to live and work my entire life here in Rexburg. You have been constant example of a good citizen, neighbor and friend. I feel that this honor could not go to a finer example of integrity.
Christine Larsen, Madison Jr. High School: "I had previously worked as a secretary in the business world and had been saddened by how people were treated. Robert Pedersen treats all individuals with integrity. It doesn't matter what your name is, where you live, what your checking account balance is. Employees were encouraged to deal, fairly with each other. We were all given a daily example of honesty uprightness and moral soundness by Mr. Robert L. Pedersen.
